MANILA, Philippines – Traditional shoemaking meets modern styles at Marquina Shoemaker, a footwear brand that’s gone from making a name for themselves online to a opening a brick and mortar “shoeroom” – yes, that’s a showroom for shoes.
Marquina’s shoeroom gives customers the tactile experience they miss out on when they’re buying shoes online. They get to try on shoes to get a sure fit, get a feel of their chosen pair’s leather, and see if the pair will suit them and their style.
The shoeroom doesn’t have stocks for sale, though. After a customer decides on a pair, they can order them online and wait 3 weeks for them to be delivered to their doorstep.
If the waiting time turns you off Marquina’s shoes, just remember that it’s all for the sake of authenticity – every pair is made to order and handmade in Marikina.
Their shoeroom also offers shoe-shining services for when your shoes get old and worn.
Interested in experiencing Marquina’s shoeroom for yourself? Check it out at 7635 Guijo Street, San Antonio, Makati. – Rappler.com
